School of Statistics

Gary W. Oehlert

Back to Statistics!

After ten years of service as an associate dean, I am now back in the School of Statistics full time. I am proud to have served the college, but I am also happy to be back in the department as a faculty member.

Office hours Fall 2017:

None. Please call or email me (contact information to the right).

Where is Gary?

I am not teaching in 2017-18 as I transition back into the faculty. This means I will not be in my faculty office a lot, although I will be there a lot more than I was in the last ten years. Please call or email me if you don't find me in the office.

Where is Gary's book?

A First Course in Design and Analysis of Experiments is now out of print. But do not despair, you can now get it on-line, and it's free! Just follow the link marked "Book" to get a pdf of the complete book.

So what's up with the Associate Dean gig?

I have just reupped for another three years as Associate Dean for Planning. This position manages all of CLA's space and space projects and is involved in all manner of academic, budget, and strategic planning. It can be pretty fulfilling ... when it's not driving you crazy.
