Software and Packages
I developed with Vladimir Minin the DOBAD package, available on CRAN, for estimating the parameters of Discretely Observed Birth And Death (and immigration) Markov chains.
I also implemented the logcondens.mode package to allow for computation of a log-concave density with a known mode, and to compute an asymptotic likelihood ratio test and corresponding confidence intervals for the mode.
